"Doom Island is one of my favorite indie works, beautifully made, original, and as perfectly personal as it gets."

The Little Angels Club. Five guardian angels: Love, Peace, Joy, Hope, and Trust await new babies. They sing songs, make crafts and rejoice and praise the Lord. Filmed in Victoria, Canada 1995-98, the costumes and props transport you to a world of wonder.

The film follows Martin, a schizophrenic person, as he creates a puppet and clown mask. During the art-making process, his counselor calls to tell him she has quit and started a new job.

It’s 1994, and I’m 23. I’m on my own for the first time. I’m looking for a job. I got trapped at an old spooky building where an old lady with a puppet was the boss. She tried to kill me. It is an unwitting documentary of the spiraling into schizophrenia.
